I was met by incredibly nice and affable staff at the reception. The setting was exceptionally nice, so close to town centre. Moreover, it was 3 km from a science museum🙂👍

Loved my RELAXING stay for one night. Stayed there before, the staff was as always accommodating. The location of this hotel was perfect. It was located in a quiet area close to Lake Taupo, Tongariro River Motel over a period of over 40 years and the Turangi township, a decent base for me.

The food was delicious with a great selection of choice! The staff and the proprietor were all welcoming.

Family hotel, staff were pleasant and the location was exceptionally nice in the region. Location: the property was adjacent to a big supermarket, town centre, river for fishing, mt and stores. Luckily it was close to Hydro Eatery, had pastries there when it was very hot outside.

The rooms at Tongariro River Motel are incredibly comfortable, just like being at home. We loved the cozy seating area in certain rooms, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Each room has everything you need, including a flat-screen TV with satellite channels for entertainment. The spacious studios feature a fully equipped kitchen, complete with an oven, microwave, and fridge. We enjoyed the flat-screen TV and DVD player in our room, perfect for movie nights. The bathroom with a shower and separate toilet added convenience to our stay. It was great to have a coffee machine and kettle in the room for those morning pick-me-ups.

Personally, I found the bathroom a bit small, but others might not mind.

Staying at this motel was absolutely mind-blowing! It felt like we were living in our very own small house, complete with a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and separate bedroom - talk about super comfortable! The host was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They even provided us with a great selection of books and cooking utensils to make us feel right at home. The beds were so comfy, it was like sleeping on a cloud! Plus, the location was perfect for us adventure enthusiasts, with plenty of fishing books to keep us entertained. We even got lucky and received a fresh trout which we cooked up and it was absolutely jaw-droppingly delicious!
